Your Biggest Risks
You don’t think about
How much time have you spent watching the markets since Trump announced tariffs Friday?
How much time do you generally spend thinking about your financial investments?
If you’re like me, it’s probably a reasonable amount. But does it really make sense? Have you actually thought about what the major risk factors you face really are?
Most of them cannot be hedged by reducing your portfolio volatility. If you want to grow your wealth, you must allow your investments to compound while avoiding extinction level events.
As far as extinction level events, there are 3 you should be aware of:
1) Heart attacks
2) Divorce
3) Car accidents
A majority of American men will either have a heart attack or get divorced by the time they turn 65. Good luck building your wealth while recovering from either one of those catastrophes.
The other risk you may not have thought about from a zoomed out level is your risk of being in a major car accident. A majority of American men will have their car totaled by the time they turn 65. Does it really make sense to drive anything smaller than a large SUV, knowing this risk?
You can’t plan for the future if you aren’t even aware of what the major landlines are, how your approach to life might be steering you towards them while also incorporating the cheat codes that are essential to avoiding the fate of the majority.
