What's the Replication Ratio of the messages you consume? What about the messages you preach? The Replication Ratio is the portion of a message that is meant to be literally acted upon by the recipient.
If you look at David Goggins and the caricature like personalities that pervade social media, you will notice two things:
1) Your life will become much worse if you try to do exactly what they do
2) They still seem to positively impact many followers.
This is because high profile influencer content is not created to be consumed literally.
If you tried to live like Andrew Tate, you would probably die But if you blended 97% of your existing lifestyle with 3% of his, your life would probably be a lot better. You might feel in control of your life for once.
To be a wise student, you should know the intended replication ratio of the messages you are consuming, so you don't overdose on them.
And to be a better leader, you must craft your message based on what you perceive your replication ratio is in the eyes of your audience, because most of the people you lead will only act upon a small fraction of the message that you preach to them.
