Corporations create Jekylls & Hydes of men. This occurs because in the early years of a man's career, the aggression and ambition that he once had becomes castrated, as his is rewarded for his compliance over his performance.
Many of my friends in high school became All-American athletes or top scholars in their respected fields. What was the next thing they had in common? They worked for prestigious institutions and were buried at the bottom by work they could have done proficiently in middle school. Their competence and drive did nothing to advance them. The only trait that got rewarded was patience and obedience.
You only know what that does to a man when you've been through it yourself. It incentivizes passive aggression. It breeds cynicism. It teaches Jekylls to become Hydes. If you are stuck here, there are two paths out:
