Dumb people think you ripped them off if you solve their problems too quickly.
But the best advice is often simple. E.g. don’t eat unless you’re hungry.
But consumers have been brainwashed into thinking answers not only must be complex, but complex answers are the only ones worth paying a premium for. This is because a majority of people are compensated linearly in accordance with how MUCH they work
So when they see a well compensated individual who isn’t sweating it out, they feel threatened. But they fail to realize that well compensated individuals are compensated to solve important complex problems, not to log hours.
To solve important complex problems, you need the expertise to select the CORRECT simple tool, rather than the incorrect complex tool.
Our economy is filled with complex solution con-artists. From government interventionalists, to ineffective trainers, to management consultants, many industries revolve around the marketing and sales of complex but ineffective bullshit.
You must associate yourself with people whose outcomes seem to far exceed their effort. Chances are they aren’t getting lucky. More likely, they are consistently selecting the right simple tools to navigate life.
